Legacy SMS provider → Twilio migration

An E-Commerce platform that handled transactional SMS through a local German provider. When that provider shut down its SMS services, I was tasked with finding an alternative that was both affordable and reliable.

We ended up choosing Twilio for its mature infrastructure, decent prices, and easy extensibility to other markets if needed.

I replaced the API calls in the legacy WordPress code, modularized it to make future migrations easier, and Twilio has worked out very well in the years since.
