Domain portfolio savings

A client with a portfolio of several hundred domains approached me complaining about the exorbitant costs some of his domain providers charged.

It became obvious they were being grossly overcharged especially for domains under more exotic TLDs, for which many mainstream providers apply extraordinary markups.

Having several providers with varying levels of security - some still lacking 2-factor authentication - and accessibility of administration interfaces, billing, etc. also added unnecessary hassle to the client's staff's life.

I facilitated a contract at a German domain wholesaler that supports all needed TLDs and brought prices down by up to 80%.

The process:

Making backup copies of each domain's DNS records
Initiating and overseeing the transfer of every domain
Ensuring connectivity
Duplicating name server records where necessary
Performing a final function check on every single domain
