Built a weather app prototype for Lanzarote

The weather on the island of Lanzarote is generally fairly uneventful: the trade winds usually guarantee relatively sunny weather that rarely gets too hot.

However, when you live here permanently, you do get interested in those edge cases when the weather is different, for example when it's going to rain.

The island's infrastructure and terrain are not well prepared for large amounts of rain and other adverse weather events, and so the weather forecasting that is available through state sources tends to be a little bit coarse in some places.

Also, the English language information given out by state weather authorities was, for the longest time, not exactly very detailed.

I built a React Native and PHP-based mobile app prototype that aggregates various sources of weather information - among them the state weather service's API - and outputs localised weather information for any part of the island.
